The purpose of HOTEA is to promote evangelism, start non-denominational New Testament Christian churches, and strengthen existing churches in Texas—beginning in the south central part of the state. This purpose grows out of two commands by Jesus:

• Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.”
• Acts 1:8 “You shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Texas is our “Judea”. And we have a tremendous opportunity today to be His witnesses and to make disciples in this great state!
